The Moss Landing Fire and the Changing Ocean Wind Farm Project
We saw how the devastating January 2025 fire at the Moss Landing Battery Plant demonstrated the real environmental risks these installations pose to nearby communities. We have also watched as the proposed ocean wind farm grew from 100 turbines, each 600 feet tall, covering 70 square miles, to 600 turbines, each 1,100 feet tall, covering almost 400 square miles in 8 years. Our communities are tired of being misled, frustrated, and nobody is listening. We deserve so much better.
