24 Days in Morro Bay
How a 120 Acres of Park Space on the Embarcadero was lost to the Energy Industry
For 85 years, the "3 Stacks" and surrounding property in Morro Bay — while considered iconic by some — represents a troubling sequence of events, and native indigenous destruction, for the Morro Bay community: the U.S. Government's seizure of land through eminent domain, broken promises about public park space by the SLO County Board of Supervisors, secretive negotiations with the energy industry, and the continued desecration of ancient Indian villages and graves.
This tainted history continues to be a source of ongoing cultural frustration and community conflict in Morro Bay to this day.
The Native Son One Of Us
“When you come from a legacy family of the Native Indians, Pioneers, and Fishermen that helped to build our Central Coast, representing San Luis Obispo County becomes very personal. Not a day goes by that I don’t appreciate my ancestors’ devotion to creating a hard-earned life for their families. Their commitment to their families and this region has given us the community that I am deeply dedicated to today.”

Central Coast Values We Deserve
“From Common Sense Election Reforms to Protecting Our Central Coast from the battery plants and wind farms that will damage our coastal ecosystems, we deserve representation that takes seriously the values that are uniquely ours. We deserve representation that actually listens to our concerns, respects our cultural differences, and takes our voices seriously. We finally have a chance to make a once-in-a-generation difference for SLO County.”
